Our Members
The membership model for the Townsville First Nations Community Council (TFNCC) is designed to be inclusive and representative of the Townsville community, with a focus on individuals who are experienced, knowledgeable, skill-based and connected to the Townsville community.
The TFNCC consists of six members who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, are connected to the Townsville Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, and reside within the Townsville regional area.
Membership is not based on representation of a particular community organisation, Traditional Owner group or any non-Indigenous organisation.
The selection process for the inaugural Chairperson involves a panel, with subsequent terms subject to election by LDMB members.
