Our purpose is to ‘elevate the community voice’ and create ‘spaces’ for meaningful collaboration with government and stakeholders on issues affecting our community.
We will drive community designed led approaches that benefit and contribute to the holistic well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Townsville First Nations Community Council will:
Advocate for issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the community.
Drive community led co-designed approaches that aligns with community priorities, lived experiences, and increases community capability to implement change.
The Council holds a commitment to amplify community voices and foster collaboration with government and stakeholders. We aim to address pressing issues through community-led approaches, ensuring that initiatives benefit the holistic well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Townsville. By prioritising inclusive dialogue and cooperative efforts, we seek to create lasting positive change, guided by the insights and aspirations of those we serve. Our focus extends beyond immediate challenges to nurturing comprehensive development that encompasses cultural, social, economic, and environmental dimensions, ultimately aiming to empower individuals and communities for a brighter future.
